The Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation receives primary funding through fees that are added to the cost of all civil filings in the State and Magistrate courts of Fulton County.
The Foundation also receives generous grants from the following sponsor organizations:
- Fulton County Department of Human Services for AVLF's Advocacy in Education for Special Needs Children Program
- Georgia Bar Foundation for AVLF's Guardian ad Litem Program, Domestic Violence program, Advocacy in Education for Special Needs Children Program and One Child, One Lawyer Program.
- Lawyers Foundation of Georgia for AVLF's Advocacy in Education for Special Needs Children Program and to the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section for a grant to match a portion of the LFG grant
- Hedge Funds Care for AVLF's One Child, One Lawyer Program
- Supreme Court of Georgia's Children's Justice Committee for AVLF's Advocacy in Education for Special Needs Children Program
- The Law firm of DLA Piper for the Domestic Violence Program.
AVLF also is supported through the striking generosity of lawyers, law firms and corporate legal divisions throughout the Atlanta community through the Foundation's Winetasting fundraiser and through other substantial gifts.
