This year, the 19th Annual AVLF Winetasting, our signature fundraiser and an ongoing demonstration of the community’s commitment to pro bono legal work, will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the beautiful new offices of Seyfarth Shaw.
Friends of the Foundation participate in the Winetasting because the funds raised through the event are a critical part of AVLF’s ability to promote equal access to justice in Atlanta. But they also know- and you will learn- that this is also a terrific party, one that kicks off the holiday season with style and pleasure.
Food will be provided by Ron Eyester of Rosebud, whose Virginia-Highland’s restaurant features local and regional ingredients. Ron’s menu will be supported by wines provided through United Distributors’ and chosen by Michael Venezia. Back by popular demand, dessert will include Rooster 14 Cookie Company’s chocolate chip cookies, “ homemade cookies shaped like a scoop of ice cream better tasting than the ones your mom used to make!”
Last year, 500 individuals and more than 60 law firms, corporate legal departments, accounting firms and other friends of AVLF supported the Foundation by purchasing sponsorships and tickets to the event; more than 750 attended the party!
We invite you to help support the work of the Foundation by purchasing tickets and/or signing up as an event host/sponsor.Tickets sold out last year; don't risk your chance of missing one of the "best legal parties of the year"!
All contributions pledged by August 31 will be noted on the 2010 invitation that will go out in late September to 2000+ attorneys and friends of the Foundation.

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities
Law firms, corporate legal departments and other entities may participate at one of four levels. Contributions made by August 31 (payment of the pledge is requested by September 30, 2010 please) will be noted, by category of giving, on the Winetasting invitation that will be distributed to more than 3,000 Atlanta attorneys, accountants and friends of AVLF. (Please view the 2009 invitation as a reference.) In addition, your company will be recognized on the Foundation’s web site which receives more than 1,200 unique visitors each month. Your generosity and support of the Foundation is greatly appreciated!

Host Opportunities
Individuals and law firms of two persons or less may serve as Hosts of the 2010 Winetasting for a contribution of $300. That contribution also allows the Host to bring a guest at no cost. As is true of firm donations, contributions made by August 31 (payment of the pledge is requested by September 30, 2010 please) will be noted on the Winetasting invitation that will be distributed to more than 2,500 Atlanta attorneys, accountants and friends of AVLF, and on the Foundation’s web site. Public interest lawyers and firm associates may pledge to purchase a ticket to the event for $100, and those who do so by August 31 will also be noted on the Winetasting invitation.
